Microsoft announced that MSA accounts will default to passwordless sign-in, using options like passkeys, Windows Hello, the Microsoft Authenticator app, or verification codes. The goal is to make logging in more secure and user-friendly, since passkeys are both faster and much harder to hack than traditional passwords. In my opinion – It’s a smart move that reflects the growing need to move away from outdated, risky passwords that can be easily acquired or hacked.
