CompTIA DataSys+ (DS0-001) develops the skills required to deploy, manage, secure, and maintain database systems across on-premises, cloud, relational, and non-relational environments. It is designed for database professionals building broader administrative capabilities and organizations seeking a consistent, vendor-neutral approach to managing data platforms.

Database fundamentals, deployment, management and maintenance, security, and business continuity are addressed throughout the training. Participants work with database design, SQL development and scripting, deployment planning, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, encryption, access control, backup, recovery, and the operational practices needed to maintain the availability and integrity of business data.

The content is most relevant to database administrators, junior DBAs, data system operators, and IT professionals moving into database management from systems or infrastructure roles. Two to three years of related hands-on experience provides an appropriate foundation. For organizations, DataSys+ training helps establish common administrative and security practices across database platforms while strengthening the team’s ability to protect data, maintain performance, and recover from service disruptions.
