CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1201) builds the technical foundation required for entry-level IT support roles. It is designed for individuals beginning an IT career, technicians strengthening their existing skills, and organizations developing the capabilities of help desk, desktop support, and field service teams.
The course covers mobile devices, networking, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing, and hardware and network troubleshooting. Instruction focuses on the technologies, systems, and support situations technicians encounter in day-to-day work. Participants learn how devices and infrastructure components function, how they work together, and how to diagnose and resolve common technical problems.
This course is appropriate for participants with limited IT experience as well as working technicians who want to formalize and expand their knowledge. For organizations, it provides a consistent, vendor-neutral foundation that can be used to support onboarding, workforce development, and entry-level technical training.
