CompTIA A+ Core 2 (220-1202) develops the operating system, security, troubleshooting, and operational skills required for day-to-day IT support. It is designed for individuals continuing their entry-level IT training, technicians expanding their support capabilities, and organizations developing help desk, desktop support, and field service teams.

The course covers operating systems, security, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile environments. Instruction focuses on the tasks and support situations technicians encounter in the workplace, including configuring systems, securing endpoints, diagnosing software problems, documenting work, and following established support processes.

This course is appropriate for participants who have completed Core 1 or already possess a foundational understanding of computer hardware and networking. For organizations, it provides a consistent, vendor-neutral approach to developing support staff who can resolve a broader range of technical issues, reduce unnecessary escalations, and work within established operational and security practices.
