CompTIA Network+ (N10-009) builds the vendor-neutral networking knowledge and practical skills used to support wired, wireless, cloud-connected, and hybrid environments. It is well suited to individuals moving into network administration or technical support roles, as well as organizations developing a consistent networking foundation across their IT teams.

Participants develop an understanding of networking concepts, implementation, operations, security, and troubleshooting. Topics include Internet Protocol (IP) addressing and subnetting, routing and switching, wireless technologies, cloud networking, software-defined networking (SDN), software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN), Zero Trust principles, monitoring, high availability, and structured methods for diagnosing connectivity and performance issues.

The training is intended for junior network administrators, network support technicians, systems professionals expanding into networking, and candidates with knowledge comparable to CompTIA A+. Approximately 9 to 12 months of related hands-on experience is recommended. Organizations can use Network+ training to establish common technical terminology and practices while preparing staff to support the interconnected infrastructure that underpins cloud, cybersecurity, systems administration, and other IT functions.
