CompTIA Project+ (PK0-005) builds the practical project management skills needed to guide IT initiatives from planning through completion. It is intended for technical professionals who manage projects as part of a broader role, individuals moving into project coordination, and organizations that want a more consistent approach to project delivery.
Participants examine project management concepts, life cycle phases, tools and documentation, and the fundamentals of IT governance. The training addresses scope, schedules, budgets, constraints, risk, issue management, stakeholder communication, and project documentation while introducing both traditional and Agile delivery methods. Particular attention is given to how project management operates within technical environments where business requirements, operational dependencies, and implementation risks must be managed together.
The content is designed for IT professionals with six to twelve months of project experience, as well as those taking on project responsibilities for the first time. For organizations, Project+ training helps technical staff apply a common methodology, improve documentation and communication, and manage initiatives with greater control over scope, schedules, resources, and outcomes.
